As demand for aviation recovers worldwide due to the relaxation of border measures against the new coronavirus, companies responsible for airport operations such as security inspections are beginning to secure manpower.

A total of 20 companies, including companies that handle security inspections and cargo at Narita Airport, participated in the briefing held on the 6th in Chiba City.

Participating companies were divided into booths and explained the details of work and treatment to visiting students.

A tour of Narita Airport was also held, and students observed the work that supports the site, such as the work of unloading cargo from aircraft using special vehicles.

In the aviation industry, as the number of employees has been reduced and job separations have continued due to the corona crisis, it is an issue whether securing manpower can keep up with the recovery in demand that is expected to accelerate in the future.

A male university student who participated said, "I am fascinated by the aviation industry, which has a global stage and can value connections with people. It was very informative."

Bungo Nishiura, Manager of Narita Airport Company, who held the briefing, said, "Securing personnel is a very difficult issue, but we would like to support the acquisition of human resources through these efforts."
