European Commission: imports of wheat from Ukraine to the EU for the year increased by 287 thousand tons to 2.85 million tons

On January 30, six EU countries (Poland, Romania, Bulgaria, Hungary, the Czech Republic and Slovakia) warned of the difficulties that arise due to an excess of cheap grain from Ukraine.

Delegations from these countries asked to pay compensation to affected farmers and to use Brussels' "flexible approach" to the implementation of EU agricultural policy.
