"Due to the unilateral decisions of American financial institutions, Gazprombank's USD correspondent accounts with JPMorgan Chase Bank and Bank of New York Mellon will be terminated," the credit institution said.

In this regard, customers were urged not to use the bank for cross-border transfers in US dollars, starting from January 27.

At the same time, the bank will continue servicing deposits and accounts in US dollars, as well as making cross-border transfers in other currencies.

Gazprombank added that all obligations to customers are fulfilled in full in all currencies, and individuals and legal entities have continuous access to their funds and services.

In July, it was reported that Gazprombank was introducing fees for SWIFT transfers, as well as for servicing foreign currency accounts.
