The theme park "Huis Ten Bosch" in Sasebo City, Nagasaki Prefecture has decided to raise wages for all group employees by an average of 6%.

The aim is to secure human resources even while the impact of the corona wreck continues.

According to people involved, Huis Ten Bosch has decided to raise wages from July for all 1,000 employees, including contract employees for the entire group, such as theme parks and hotels.

We plan to raise monthly wages by an average of 6%, including base increases that uniformly raise basic salaries and regular salary increases.

Huis Ten Bosch was acquired by a Hong Kong-based investment firm last September.

Although the number of visitors, mainly from overseas, who were greatly depressed due to the corona disaster, is recovering, it is still at 80% of what it was before the corona disaster.

Even in such a situation, considering the current rise in prices, we aim to secure human resources, such as the retention of employees who are mainly hired locally.

It will be the first time in seven years that the company will raise wages for all employees.

As companies are strongly urged to raise wages, it is expected that such wage increases will spread further among local companies, including small and medium-sized enterprises.
