It was found that the number of office workers who did not receive a refund at the year-end tax settlement last year and paid additional taxes reached 4 million.

According to the National Tax Service's National Tax Statistics Portal, there were 3,934,600 people who had 'tax to be paid' in last year's year-end tax settlement.

These are people who paid additional tax after the year-end tax settlement because the tax collected in advance during the year was less than the actual tax.

There were 19,959,000 workers who reported earned income at the year-end tax settlement last year, and 19.7% of them vomited taxes through the year-end tax settlement.

The number of people who got their taxes back was 67.7%, or 13.512 million people.

Meanwhile, among the workers who reported year-end tax settlement last year, 7.04 million people, or 35.3% of the total, did not pay any earned income tax due to various tax deductions.
