Daihatsu Motor Co., Ltd., an automobile manufacturer, has notified the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism of a recall of about 340,000 vehicles of eight models, including the "Taft," due to a program malfunction that may prevent the electric parking brake from being released.

The recalled vehicles were manufactured from May 2020 to August last year,


such as Daihatsu's "Taft", "Tanto", and "Thor", and

According to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, the electric parking brake program used for parking is inappropriate, and there is a risk that an abnormality will be detected during operation and the warning light will turn on, making it impossible to release the brake.



Problems were discovered with information from users, and there have been 401 reports of problems so far.



Daihatsu and other companies have decided to perform program correction work free of charge at dealers nationwide from the 20th.
