The Ministry of Finance of Russia reported that the volume of the NWF as of January 1 amounted to more than 10.4 trillion rubles

“As of January 1, 2023, the volume of the NWF amounted to 10,434,580.8 million rubles, or 7.8% of GDP projected for 2022,” the report says.

The ministry added that the liquid assets of the NWF, which are in accounts with the Central Bank, amounted to more than 6.1 trillion rubles.

Earlier, Russian Finance Minister Anton Siluanov said that the department plans to introduce the practice of regular purchases of yuan to replenish the NWF.
