Recently, after the procedures of city application, provincial recommendation, expert scoring, and social publicity, the State Post Bureau has agreed in principle to Langfang, Lianyungang, Suqian, and Huzhou. 16 cities, including , Jiaxing, Anqing, Fuyang, Jinan, Weifang, Dezhou, Shangqiu, Jingzhou, Foshan, Zhongshan, Nanning, Chengdu, etc., will carry out a new batch of construction activities as the third batch of Chinese express delivery demonstration cities.

  China's express delivery demonstration cities cover 15 provinces (regions) in the east, middle and west. There are not only provincial capital cities such as Shenyang and Hangzhou, but also some important regional hub cities such as Langfang and Luohe; In the big cities, there are also cities with characteristic express delivery such as Ezhou and Nanning.

  According to Lin Hu, each demonstration city has put forward development measures according to local conditions in combination with its location advantages and industrial characteristics, each with its own characteristics, and the express delivery business has continued to grow at a high speed.

The data shows that in 2021, the express delivery business volume of the 25 demonstration cities will reach 46.81 billion pieces, accounting for 43.2% of the country's total.

From 2019 to 2021, the 25 demonstration cities will achieve an average annual growth rate of express delivery business of 31.3%, and an average annual growth rate of business income of 22.6%.

  China's express delivery demonstration cities have formed a number of effective practices for the high-quality development of the express delivery industry.

For example, Dalian, Liaoning invested 4.2 million yuan in the work of "express delivery into the village"; Taizhou, Zhejiang carried out the construction of digital projects such as "rural digital post stations"; The million-level express service manufacturing project has undergone service upgrades; Xi'an, Shaanxi guides delivery companies to actively serve and integrate into the "Belt and Road" construction, and promote the normal development of the China-Europe Express Chang'an Express.
