After the end of the ten cent rebate on fuel on December 31, there is good news for the most modest motorists who use their car to go to work.

From this Monday, the government is setting up a fuel check worth 100 euros.

Europe 1 takes stock of all the practical details.

This time, it's not a rebate but a check.

To take over from the discount at the pump for all which ended on December 31, the government is setting up a fuel allowance of 100 euros from this Monday.

This aid is intended for the 10 million poorest French people, that is to say those who are located in "the first five deciles".

Europe 1 explains to you who is concerned precisely and how to benefit from it.

What are the conditions ?

This fuel allowance is intended for the most modest households, those with a reference tax income of less than 14,700 euros in 2021, and who use their vehicle to get to work.

If you are a single person and you earn less than 1,314 euros net per month, you can benefit from it.

Same thing, if you are in a relationship with two children.

In this case, it will be necessary to receive a maximum of 3,941 euros net per month.

For a couple with one child, this corresponds to 3,285 euros net per month.

For a single person with two children, 3,285 euros net per month and 5,255 euros net per month for a couple with three children.

This compensation is paid per person and not per household, so one will be able to benefit from 200 euros in aid for the purchase of fuel.

According to Matignon, this represents aid of around 10 euro cents per liter over the year for a person who travels an average of 12,000 km/year.

All vehicles are concerned except heavy motorized quadricycles, agricultural machinery, heavy goods vehicles and company or service vehicles.

How do I benefit from the fuel allowance?

To receive this fuel voucher, you will have to make a request on the impots.gouv.fr website by filling out a form.

You will then need to indicate your tax number, your license plate or your vehicle registration number and complete a sworn statement proving that you are going to work by car.

The aid of 100 euros will be paid directly, in one go, into the bank account communicated to the tax authorities.

But be careful, your request must be made

before February 28, 2023.
