Now, companies are competing for 'immediate delivery', which goes beyond early morning delivery and finishes deliveries within an hour.

At a convenience store in Gangnam, Seoul, when an order comes in online, the staff pays for the product and puts it in an envelope.



After a while, a delivery man comes in and picks up the packaged goods and sets out to deliver them.



When a consumer places an order with a smartphone app, it is immediately delivered within an hour from a nearby convenience store.



If you want to save 3,000 won on shipping, you can come and pick it up yourself.

A large mart opened two distribution centers in Gangnam, Seoul in April of last year .

We started an instant delivery service.



If customers within 2 or 3 km of the distribution center place an order through the app, it will be delivered within an hour.



We also have a refrigeration system for managing fruits and fish.



Corona is coming to an end, but as non-face-to-face shopping habits have already taken hold, competition in the delivery market is getting fiercer.



The size of the instant delivery market is expected to expand from KRW 500 billion in 2020 to KRW 5 trillion in 2025.



However, as sales per order are still only 10,000 to 20,000 won, there are many challenges for companies to solve.



A bloody competition is also expected, such as a large mart not receiving 3,000 won shipping fees for customers who order more than 30,000 won.
