Medvedev noted the joy of the Russians, whose houses and apartments were recently connected to the gas supply.

Earlier, Medvedev said that the European Union decided on the gas price ceiling out of impotence.

Prior to this, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak said that the introduction of a gas price ceiling carries the risk of the EU losing supplies and redirecting them to other markets.
