As Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Alexander Novak stated at the meeting, the problem is related to the high discount due to the high level of freight costs.
He expressed the hope that the situation will be temporary, and the discount will decrease over time, as it was in 2022.
“We need to look beyond this discount so that it does not create any problems with the budget,” the president said.
Putin instructed to discuss this issue and then separately report to him on the government's proposals on this matter.
Novak also said that there were no problems under oil export contracts.
