“This agreement is not impossible, because a nuclear incident is in no one’s interests, including Russia,” RIA Novosti quoted him as saying on the air of the Rainews24 TV channel.

Grossi stressed that a large-scale nuclear incident would have repercussions for both sides.

Earlier, Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia Mikhail Galuzin said that the consequences of Kyiv's actions in relation to the ZNPP could be catastrophic. 

The Russian Foreign Ministry also reported that Russia trusts the expertise and knowledge of the IAEA in matters related to the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant.
