Elon Musk enters "Guinness" as the biggest loser of fortune in history

An American financial news network reported that billionaire Elon Musk, head of the American electric car company “Tesla” and owner of the “Twitter” network, entered the “Guinness Book of Records” as the largest loser of wealth in history, after the largest drop in “Tesla” shares in 2022.

And the network “CNBC” indicated that Musk, who was the richest person in the world before the loss, entered “Guinness” after his fortune decreased by $ 182 billion in 2022.

The network quoted “Guinness” as saying in a report, although “it is almost impossible to determine the exact number of Musk’s loss, with some sources estimating that he lost more than $ 200 billion, the owner of Twitter broke the previous record, which is a loss of $ 58.6 billion before.” Japanese investor Masayoshi Son in 2000.

The reason for Musk's wealth shrinking is largely due to the sharp decline in Tesla shares, which lost nearly 65% of their capital value during the worst year ever for the largest electric car maker in the world, according to the network.

And she pointed out that the loss was enough to remove Musk from his title as the richest man in the world, which is the title that is now held by French luxury goods magnate Bernard Arnault.

The network indicated that Musk is not the only billionaire whose wealth declined dramatically during 2022, as American billionaires together lost $ 660 billion last year.
