Dubai World Trade hosts 36 events during the first quarter

Dubai World Trade Center has started a new year full of opportunities for continuous growth, as the agenda for the first quarter of this year includes hosting 36 exhibitions, conferences and forums, which contributes to consolidating Dubai's position at the forefront of global destinations for the meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions sector.

And the center stated in a statement, yesterday, that the activities of the first three months of the year 2023 reflect the economic diversification enjoyed by the Emirate of Dubai and cover many sectors, including health care, energy, arts and food.

The most prominent events during the first quarter include the DUPHAT exhibition, the Arab Health exhibition and conference, Gulfood, and the Middle East Energy exhibition, as well as the organization of the second edition of the World of Coffee Dubai, in addition to the exhibition and trade conference for security and safety «Intersec».

The run-up to Ramadan will witness a series of successive events, with March being one of the busiest months of the year.

Maher Abdul Karim Julfar, Executive Vice President of Exhibition and Conference Halls Management at the Dubai World Trade Center, said that last year witnessed the return of Dubai's economy to pre-pandemic levels, as the gross domestic product grew by 4.6% on an annual basis in the first nine months of the year.

He pointed out that the Dubai World Trade Center had a major role in driving the economic momentum in the emirate, by hosting an integrated agenda of events in the meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions sector, and welcoming a record number of international visitors. The center also contributed to setting new standards for the events sector, as well as supporting business system effectively, and this momentum is expected to continue during the first quarter of 2023.

Julphar added that the Dubai Trade Center is a major factor in enabling trade, and a well-established destination for innovation and exchange of knowledge and ideas, stressing the continuation of work to develop the center's portfolio of prominent events and the first events of its kind in line with the long-term strategic vision of the Dubai government.
