The Minister of Education, Dr. Ahmed Belhoul Al Falasi, inaugurated the “Coffee World Dubai 2023” exhibition, which is organized by “DXB Live”, the arm providing services for organizing and managing integrated events at the Dubai World Trade Center, in cooperation with the “International Specialty Coffee Association”.

Al-Falasi inspected the pavilions and platforms of the exhibition, and was briefed on the most prominent exhibits of the participating international, regional and local companies, and met with a number of exhibitors, praising the wide turnout of the second session of the exhibition.

The first day of the exhibition witnessed a wide attendance of specialized visitors, and a great demand for its various activities and events, which will continue until tomorrow, with the participation of 1,500 international, regional and local companies and brands.

Khaled Al Hammadi, Senior Vice President of DXB Live, said, "The second session of the (Coffee World Dubai 2023) exhibition is of particular importance, in light of the wide global turnout to participate in its various activities."

He added, "The current year's exhibition was able to bring together the various poles of the industry and its workers at all global, regional and local levels under one roof, and provided them with important opportunities to strengthen relations and build partnerships."

He continued, "We look forward to highlighting the distinguished position occupied by coffee in the UAE, and to leave a wonderful impression on international visitors about the coffee culture in Dubai, and the customs and traditions associated with it. We also hope that the events hosted by the exhibition will provide an exceptional experience for visitors."

For his part, Khaled Al-Mulla, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Specialty Coffee Association - Emirates Branch, said, "The World Expo plays an important pivotal role in providing a model platform that brings together the most prominent specialists and pioneers in the coffee industry from the region and the world."

He added: «Dubai is keen to contribute to strengthening the commercial, economic and tourism sectors in the country, at a time when the wide turnout of thousands of experts and specialists from all over the world reflects the confidence of the international community, and its recognition of the pivotal role that Dubai plays in increasing the momentum of trade movement at the regional and global levels».

Events and activities

The first day of the exhibition included a variety of activities and events, most notably the launch of the "Emirates National Barista Championship", in which the most prominent and skilled barista professionals at the state level compete for the opportunity to qualify for the "World Barista Championship".

The exhibition also provides exceptional experiences, as visitors flocked to the “Roosters Village” pavilion to get to know the workers in the field of coffee preparation, learn about their working methods, and taste coffee samples that are prepared in unique ways.
