This is 'Aeolus', a two-armed robot that appeared at CES, the US Consumer Electronics Show.

You can lift and move the box with your arms, and open it by grabbing the handle of a closed door.

[Norman Su/Aeolus Developer: Aeolus can move on its own, and it can ride elevators or go through revolving doors by itself.]

Taiwanese and Japanese companies joined forces to make it, and Samsung Electronics introduced it two years ago. It is a bit more advanced than the one-armed robot.

In line with the rapid technological progress in the field of robots, Samsung Electronics said, "We will release a version of the robot called EX1 this year."

The first goal is a robot that assists the elderly in their activities.

Joint motion must be possible, and Samsung Electronics recently decided to invest 58.9 billion won in a domestic company that develops such a robot.

[CEO Lee Jung-ho/Rainbow Robotics: (joint robot model) there are really various services.

I think infinite applications will probably be developed.]

LG Electronics also expanded its investment in the robot industry.

Starting this year, all LCD TV production lines in the Gumi plant will be converted to production of robots for serving and guidance.

Attempts to apply artificial intelligence to robots are also becoming active.

Talk to seniors living alone, and call carers or the police in case of emergency.

The fact that the localization rate of key parts in the domestic robot industry is very low at 15% is a challenge that needs to be solved in the future.
