Complaints about defects are boiling in a newly built rental apartment in Chungju, Chungcheongbuk-do, and Chungju City has launched a full investigation.

According to Chungju City, complaints from residents are continuing as various defects are revealed in the public support private rental housing that has recently started moving in.

It means that the wallpaper is not done properly or there are cracks in the wall.

Even a mocking graffiti saying 'just live' was found next to a note from a resident pointing out defects, causing public outrage.

This graffiti is believed to have been done by an employee of a subcontractor.

The city of Chungcheong Province said that it instructed the construction company to inspect all furniture for defects and repair them immediately.

Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport Won Hee-ryong also said on social media that 'it is impossible to just live' and that 'with this incident, we will investigate all defects in all private rental apartments'.
