Despite a good season with the recovery of tourism in France, restaurateurs are in great difficulty.

The reason ?

Energy prices which are soaring and do not allow margins to be generated.

After the bakers who are choking on their bills, it is the catering trades that are sounding the alarm.

Guest on Wednesday evening on BFMTV, Thierry Marx, star media chef and president of the Union of Hotel Trades and Industries (Umih), asks the government to "put pressure on energy suppliers", considering that "there, it is not understandable what we live on the ground" with "bills times ten", he laments.

According to the boss of Umih, some restaurateurs are on the verge of bankruptcy and threatened with closing down.

"Today we have a good season, tourists who are there, stations open and there will be no margin for businesses," he concludes.
