Dubai launches the first kitchen incubator within the Business Accelerators Network

The Mohammed bin Rashid Establishment for Small and Medium Enterprises Development, one of the institutions of the Department of Economy and Tourism in Dubai, has approved the business incubator “The Co-Kitchen” as the first kitchen incubator under the umbrella of the Dubai Network of Accredited Business Incubators and Accelerators, with the support of the Hamdan Center for Creativity and Innovation.

And the department stated in a statement yesterday that this accreditation constitutes a new opportunity for emerging companies in the food and beverage sector, and related home businesses, and for investors, to expand in this sector, by experimenting with their new ideas in the new business incubator, in addition to the ability to access a wide network of Accredited business incubators and accelerators in Dubai, benefiting from its entrepreneurial support system and many related training and mentoring services.

The Co-Kitchen provides startups with many advantages, such as a low cost of entry through shared kitchens according to flexible times, and specialized consulting in the field of launching food projects.

The food and beverage sector is one of the vital sectors in the Emirate of Dubai, as the emirate hosts more than 13,000 restaurants and cafes, including local and international restaurants and fine dining destinations.

Abdul Basit Al Janahi, Executive Director of the Mohammed bin Rashid Establishment for Small and Medium Enterprises Development, said, “The adoption of the first kitchen incubator to be part of the Dubai Network for Business Incubators and Accelerators would constitute a qualitative addition that enriches the network, expands the circle of its sectors and supports the growth of startups and home businesses in the food and beverage sector.” ».

For his part, the founder of the business incubator "The Co-Kitchen", Shahzad Afzal Bhatti, explained that the new business incubator provides entrepreneurs with several advantages, including launching their projects at a low cost without the need for huge investments, a flexible exit strategy, as well as great community support through access to Suppliers and entrepreneurs to benefit and achieve rapid growth, and enjoy shared kitchens according to flexible times.
