The happiness index in the electricity bill (first-line research)

Electricity is a barometer of economic development, and it is also related to the temperature of people's livelihood.

Today, my country's power installed capacity and power generation rank first in the world.

In 2021, the domestic electricity consumption of urban and rural residents will be 1,174.3 billion kwh, an increase of 89% compared with 621.9 billion kwh in 2012.

In the first 11 months of 2022, the domestic electricity consumption of urban and rural residents will be 1,210.1 billion kwh, a year-on-year increase of 12%.

In front of the surging current, old home appliances are replaced, and new appliances "fly" into thousands of households, and people's sense of happiness increases accordingly.

A small household electricity bill reflects the big changes in life.

Recently, the reporter visited two households in one city and one village in Shanghai and Guangxi, and felt the rapid changes of the times from the details of life.

The beating numbers on the electric meter are the strong pulse of my country's economic development and show the people's yearning for a better life.

From old home appliances to smart homes, Shanghai residents save new guards——

  Open the smart "door"

  Our reporter Ji Juesu

In Xinjiayuan in the northern suburbs of Shanghai, the first ray of winter sunshine shines into the living room, and the sweeping robot "wakes up" and gets busy.

The smell filled the kitchen, and Chu Xinwei, a 66-year-old Shanghai resident, prepared breakfast for his family with quick hands and feet. "My daughter's family lives across the street, and I will go to work after I come here to eat."

The old Chu used to live in the city center in a prosperous area, but he lived in a "dwelling house" where everyone lived very tightly, let alone put in a few more big appliances.

Today, there are two suites with complete household appliances.

Renewed

Ever since they moved into the old house in the 1980s, Lao Chu's family lived in a space of 50 square meters for more than 20 years.

In 2009, Shanghai planned to build six large-scale residential communities focusing on affordable housing in the suburbs, and the old couple applied for a three-bedroom apartment.

Her daughter, Chu Yuting, is married. There are three members of her family. She is also eligible for the application and chose a two-bedroom apartment opposite.

In 2012, Lao Chu moved into his new home, replaced it with a large LCD TV, and installed an air conditioner in every room. "The old house only has one wall-mounted air conditioner. It’s only a short while away.”

"When I moved to a new house, I had to pay the electricity bill in the first month. I was nervous. The size of the house doubled, and I added a refrigerator, a microwave oven, and a rice cooker... I don't know where the electricity bill will go. As a result, it is still the same every month. About 200 yuan!" Recalling the scene back then, Lao Chu said, "It turns out that the old electrical appliances consume so much electricity that I spent so many years wasting money."

After moving into a new house, Chu Yuting gave birth to her second baby.

In the blink of an eye, 7 years have passed, Dabao has grown into a young man, and Erbao is about to go to elementary school, and the brand-new electrical appliances when they first moved are covered with traces of time.

Some are "senile and weak": in the kitchen, the pot is not hot when the dishes are just cooked, and they are in a hurry; in summer, the air conditioner is poor and cannot relieve the heat...

The rest are also a little "powerless": the single-door refrigerator is not big enough, the water heater takes a long time to boil water, and the TV screen is not high-definition enough...

Lao Chu was careful, went to the home appliance store, compared with online channels, added, subtracted, multiplied and divided, and pulled out a long list.

"It's been 7 years since we moved into our new home, and it's time to replace our home appliances." With the experience of the last time, Lao Chu made up his mind, "All of them have to be replaced, and they must be energy-saving."

Electrical appliances are being updated one after another, all of which are domestic brands, and most of the energy efficiency labels are Level 1, which is the most energy-efficient.

"After replacing all the electrical appliances, I checked the meter and it cost more than 140 yuan a month, and the electricity bill was saved by 60 yuan." The old Chu was very satisfied.

intelligent

However, in the past two years, the electricity bill of this "old Shanghai" family has started to increase a little bit, especially after experiencing a scorching heat this summer. The average monthly electricity bill in the first 10 months was more than 170 yuan.

"Why is the electricity bill so high? We have to start from here." Lao Chu pointed to the door of the house.

The daughter's house across the door usually eats at the old couple's place, but the electricity bill is single, and the electricity bill of the "small family" is actually similar to that of the "everyone".

The daughter's family takes a bath and shampoo every day, and at night, the heater and hair dryer keep ringing.

The old Chu didn't understand the living habits of young people, and what made him even more incomprehensible was the newly replaced door lock of his daughter's house. "It's really extravagant to buy a lock for more than 1,000 yuan." The old man said from time to time.

Unexpectedly, after a few days, a gust of drafts shut the old Chu out of the door, so he could only enter the password on the smart lock and go to his daughter's house, waiting for his wife to come back.

After thinking about it, the old Chu asked his son-in-law to place an order for the same door lock.

Since then, he has praised everyone: "I go to the opposite door more than a dozen times a day, and I have to pay attention when I go there. Now it's better, and I don't need to bring my keys when I go out to buy vegetables."

A lock opens the smart "door".

Smart speakers, smart switches, smart sweeping robots, smart pet cameras, smart toilet lids...the order can't stop at all.

"This is called the Internet of Things." Chu Xinwei turned on the phone, "Look at this smart switch, there are more than a dozen remote controls for various electrical appliances in the house, and they are either confused or lost. How refreshing it is now. Just tap the phone and the air conditioner will turn on. Already!"

"Electric appliances are bought for use." Chu Xinwei switched the air conditioner to heating mode.

After a while, the warm air lingered in the living room, and he was busy, and the dishes on the table were still hot.

"In the past few years, I have figured out that good health is the most important thing! I used to be reluctant to turn on the air conditioner, and the weather was cold and hot. The saved electricity bills are not enough to pay for medical bills." Lao Chu said.

Expansion

In 2014, Chu Xinwei's family received a notice: In order to add a new substation, the community will have to cut off power for a certain period of time for construction.

"There are so many electrical appliances, and my house didn't jump the gate. Why do we need to expand?" Chu Xinwei murmured.

In the year when Lao Chu first moved, the occupancy rate of the community was less than half, and the surrounding area was relatively empty.

However, in just three or four years, commercial buildings, shopping centers, hospitals, schools, etc. have sprung up, and the place has gradually become lively.

"When Xinjiayuan was first built, the electricity mainly came from the nearby Luxiang Substation Substation. According to the urban planning, we reserved two substations at the beginning of the design. When the electricity consumption reaches a certain level, we will start the nearby Panguang Station. "Introduced by Shi Fangdi, Director of the Planning Division II of the Development Planning Department of the State Grid Shanghai Electric Power Company.

The time-of-use electricity price for residents was launched in Shanghai in 2000. After years of adjustments, for most households, the peak-time electricity price is implemented from 6 am to 10 pm at 0.617 yuan per kWh; from 10 pm to 6 pm the next day is The electricity price in valley hours is 0.307 yuan per kWh.

This has changed the electricity consumption habits of many uncles and aunts in Shanghai.

Chu Xinwei’s wife, Du Chengxiu, washes clothes and takes a bath at 10 o’clock in the evening; prepares the miscellaneous grain porridge for the next morning, puts it in the rice cooker, and sets it to start cooking at 5 o’clock in the morning. The breakfast porridge...

However, with the combined effect of the rejuvenation of residents and changes in consumption concepts, the effect of time-of-use electricity prices to adjust the pressure on the power grid has begun to weaken.

"Few people born in the 1980s and 1990s know when electricity prices will be cheaper." Shi Fangdi said with a smile.

There are still many new needs, which also bring new tests.

In 2019, the underground garage of the community was officially opened. "In the beginning, there were only more than 30 new energy vehicles, and now there are nearly 100." He Yun, the community secretary, said that walking around the garage, many of the charging piles erected are domestic brands. .

Chu Yuting was very moved: "I have inquired about it, and the electricity bill for new energy vehicles is three to four hundred yuan a month, which is much cheaper than refueling. It is especially suitable for commuting to and from get off work."

Can the regional power grid undertake these variables and increments?

During the peak electricity consumption in the summer of 2022, the highest load of the Shanghai Shibei Power Grid to which the community belongs has reached a record high. The load rate of the main transformer at Luxiang Station reached 86%, and that at Panguang Station reached 92%.

Right now, Yuehui Station, Tianren Station, and Pengjia Station with higher energy levels are under construction.

Saying goodbye to the old Chu and walking out of Xinjiayuan, it was just the beginning of the lights.

At night in Shanghai, there is a lot of traffic and lights everywhere.

From Shangougou to the county seat, Zhang Ting, a girl from Guangxi——

  E-commerce brings rich farmers

  Our reporter Zhang Yunhe

As night fell, the resettlement site was relocated, and the lights were bright.

  In the kitchen, Zhang Ting swayed left and right, "cracking", cooking on the induction cooker;

On the balcony, mother Tang Yu'e was ironing clothes with an electric iron in her hand.

In the living room, the 4-year-old eldest daughter, Qiqi, turned on the large 55-inch LCD TV, dancing and singing to the music... The dishes are out of the oven, and the porridge is out of the pan.

The whole family sits and eats contentedly.

Zhang Ting was born in Shangougou, Fuchuan Yao Autonomous County, Guangxi.

In 2020, her family moved to a new resettlement site in Fuyang Township. "This day is sweeter than our navel oranges in Fuchuan. By selling agricultural products live, her income has greatly increased, her pockets have bulged, and she has to add a new one almost every month. Electrical appliances.” Data from China Southern Power Grid shows that in the first 11 months of this year, the electricity consumption of urban and rural residents in Guangxi reached 43.5 billion kwh, an increase of 158% compared with 16.84 billion kwh in the first 11 months of 2012.

new community

  1516.77 kWh!

The numbers on the meter flickered.

This is the total electricity consumption of Zhang Ting's family in the first 11 months of this year.

"The electricity is nearly fifty-three cents per kilowatt-hour, about seventy or eighty yuan a month." Zhang Ting said, "Compared with the mountains, the biggest change is that the electricity is sufficient and the electricity consumption is stable."

Zhang Ting recalled that before moving here, she used firewood to boil water, and in winter, taking a bath was like fighting a war, and it had to be done quickly.

why?

There is only one pot of water on the stove.

It was too cold to cook a second pot, but it was too late.

After washing and putting away the firewood, if you accidentally get dust on your body, you will feel the worst.

"The monthly electricity bill at home is only a few yuan, and the light bulbs consume the most electricity." Zhang Ting said, "Later, I bought some electrical appliances one after another, and they were mostly decorations: the air conditioner couldn't move it, and the induction cooker couldn't heat it. Some The second time, the wire was blown, and the 'Zizi' smoked, which was very scary."

It's different after moving, the "shopping cart" in the mobile phone is full.

With just one touch, it will be delivered home: refrigerator, oven, microwave oven, computer, air conditioner, water heater, two induction cookers, one for cooking and one for making soup.

"It's getting cold, so I ordered another heater to show my filial piety to the elderly at home."

The logistics network extends in all directions, and the tentacles at the end extend to the villages and towns at an accelerated rate. Zhang Ting is not the only one who has benefited.

A "Bar gun" (express scanning gun), all express delivery in and out of the warehouse is solved.

Liu Xiaoxiao, a courier at the express post station in Fuyang Town, is busy every day.

She has to deal with more than 500 express orders every day, more than half of which are related to the resettlement site.

"All courier companies have business here. It is very convenient to pick up the package, just scan it with the device, and there are a lot of people who come to pick up household appliances."

In the town of Fuyang alone, there are 12 courier stations, serving an average of nearly 7,000 passengers per day.

The electricity consumption of Lixin Community is also rising steadily.

"The community currently has 926 households with 3,925 people relocated, and the total electricity consumption in the first 11 months of this year exceeded 1.44 million kwh. In addition to electricity for every household, there are 26 street lights, 26 elevators, 13 electronic access control, and electronic vehicle identification. There are 4 systems. There are 48 charging piles for light and electric vehicles in two groups.” said Mo Runjian, the first secretary in the village.

Electric motorcycles are standard equipment for residents.

Tang Rongjun, a relocated household, opened a repair shop to repair tires and replace batteries. "Business is okay."

New Countryside

"From tonight to tomorrow, it will be cloudy, the temperature will be 6 to 14 degrees Celsius, and the northerly wind will be level 3. I love my family, and the safety of Fuchuan depends on everyone." As soon as I arrived in Luping Village, I heard the weather forecast broadcast by the village's weather loudspeaker.

Luping Village, Xinhua Township, is Zhang Ting's hometown.

Grandpa Zhang Shaoxiong was reluctant to part with the old house and stayed in the village. "More than 10 years ago, I was afraid that the electric wires would burn out and cause a power outage in the whole village. When the power consumption peaked, the speaker at the entrance of the village was afraid to use it."

At that time, the most electrical appliances in the village were induction cookers.

Catch up with the holidays, especially the Spring Festival, March 3rd, and Mid-Autumn Festival, when there are many visitors, the electricity will not be enough.

The wires are thin, the voltage is low, and the load is heavy. The "little bull pulls the cart", the wires burn out, and the power is cut off for half a day.

It is most dangerous to encounter a cold wave.

Old wires, poor ice resistance, and limited ice-melting technology.

The icicle wrapped on the wire is thicker than an arm, and it is easy to overturn the pole.

In early 2008, due to the snow and ice disaster, several villages and towns were cut off.

In order to improve the level of power supply infrastructure, a lot of efforts have been made to build substations locally, replace transformers, pull wires, and "turn small lines into large lines", but the results are not obvious due to the small amount of funds and investment.

The turning point occurred in the upgrading of rural power grids carried out in 2019.

The investment of 510 million yuan in two years is equivalent to the total power grid investment of Fuchuan in the previous 20 years.

"In Luping Village alone, 1.98 million yuan was invested to build three public substation areas and renovate 5.5 kilometers of transmission lines." Zhong Kang, deputy general manager of Guangxi Hezhou Power Supply Bureau of China Southern Power Grid, said.

The staff went to the road to repair the circuit. They used to ride motorcycles, but now they have to drive pickups. They not only need to bring tool bags, seat belts, but also walkie-talkies, drones, and thermometers. It used to take half a day to repair, but now it usually takes an hour.

Walking on the small roads in the village, braised pork, steamed pork with flour, stuffed tofu, stuffed with chili peppers, fried bamboo shoots with bacon... the aroma is tangy.

Tang Xing, Secretary of the General Party Branch of Luping Village, said: "Now the villagers can safely use not only the induction cooker, but also other electrical appliances at home. Electric motors are also turned on in the fields. The income is rising steadily, and now the per capita annual income is 10,800 yuan."

new economy

"Hi everyone, I'm your girl from Yaoxiang Ting. Fuchuan navel oranges have a bumper harvest, 90% sweet and 100% sour, tender and juicy. Friends who like to eat, click on the little yellow car at the bottom of the screen to buy." The live broadcast sells fruit, "Yun Consumption" is booming.

On the ground, Zhang Ting, dressed in national costume, peeled the navel orange, and the pulp was distinct.

In 2020, Zhang Ting founded an e-commerce company to help sell villagers' agricultural products online.

In less than two years, the company has grown to more than 30 people, planning, operation, customer service, shooting and other one-stop operations.

There are more than 100 co-hosts, scattered all over the country, all major short video platforms have accounts, with a total of over 10 million fans, and at least 500 tons of various agricultural products have been sold.

Zhang Ting said: "In recent years, mobile phones have become new agricultural tools for farmers in Fuchuan, live streaming has become a new fashion, 'spring taro, summer pear, autumn potato, winter orange', there is no off-season throughout the year."

Don't look at how things are going well now, but Zhang Ting didn't go so smoothly when she first started.

The unbalanced development of cold chain logistics in counties and villages has led to poor product reputation and low cost.

"Once sales were slow, and the navel oranges rotted in the field. Seeing the fruit growers secretly wipe their tears, I felt very uncomfortable." Zhang Ting said, "I didn't feel at ease until the county's agricultural product e-commerce industrial park opened."

As soon as the industrial park is powered on, the sorting equipment, pre-refrigerated storage, and automatic weighing and packing production lines are in operation.

The industrial park integrates various services such as warehousing, sorting, and transportation. Since its operation in July 2020, it has processed an average of 35 million catties of fruit and 2 million pieces of e-commerce fruit express every year.

Zhang Ting also moved the company's processing team here, and the fruit packaging alone has driven more than 60 farmers to increase their income.

Mao Biying, a villager in Jiangjiazhai Village, Fuyang Town, works in her company and earns 3,000 yuan a month.

E-commerce has developed the county economy and allowed more people to secure their jobs.

In 2021, Fuchuan's e-commerce transaction volume will exceed 400 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 40.79%. There are currently 2,363 local e-commerce operators, driving 23,000 jobs.

With the help of "Internet +", the export of agricultural products from the village to the city is accelerated and upgraded.

In 2021, the online retail sales of local agricultural products will reach 21.75 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 92.24%.

Which electrical appliance does Zhang Ting use most frequently?

"It must be a ring fill light for live broadcasting. The size is different, and the power is also different. My big one consumes more power. But the live broadcast effect is good, and it can help the villagers sell more goods." Zhang Ting said with a smile.

Recently, the reporter saw Zhang Ting again. She was setting up a mobile phone stand and adjusting the fill light, and she was preparing to participate in the "Clear Orange Project" to promote agricultural and educational volunteer service projects.

At present, the project has helped fruit farmers sell more than 230,000 catties of navel oranges, with a sales volume of nearly 1.6 million yuan, and a charity fund of 47,466 yuan.

Today, Fuchuan is vigorously promoting e-commerce into rural areas.

Under the warm fill light, Zhang Ting, who was in the live broadcast, smiled sweetly.
