In order to resolutely shoulder the major political responsibility for ensuring national energy security, the Shanxi Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Government set up a special class for energy supply guarantees, formulated a task list for coal production increase and supply guarantees, and clarified 54 tasks for 14 departments. Annual output, new production capacity, coal supply guarantee tasks such as medium and long-term co-guaranteed coal supply of thermal coal, are detailed and decomposed and implemented to various municipal governments and provincial coal group companies, and adhere to the mechanism of daily summary, weekly analysis, and monthly scheduling.

Up to now, Shanxi's advanced coal production capacity accounts for more than 78%, and a total of 37 intelligent coal mines and 993 intelligent mining faces have been built.
In the first 11 months of this year, Shanxi's unconventional natural gas production increased by 20.7%; the state grid generated 287.6 billion kWh of electricity, of which new energy generated 59.7 billion kWh, accounting for 20.8%, a record high.
