A market insider said, "Last week, the BOJ announced revisions to its monetary easing measures, and the yen exchange rate was moving in the direction of appreciation due to concerns about further revisions. By reiterating its intention to continue easing, the yen has returned to a weaker direction. However, the Christmas holidays continue in Europe and the United States, and the number of market participants is low, so trading itself is sluggish."
