According to the agreement, in the next five years, Baidu and China Unicom will carry out in-depth cooperation in many fields such as digital information infrastructure, high-quality life, industrial upgrading, technological innovation, smart operation, network security, and personnel training, and increase the integration of artificial intelligence and industry. The strength of innovation helps China Unicom to provide users with better services, cultivates innovative applications in various industries, and jointly empowers industrial transformation and upgrading.
China Unicom, as a pilot enterprise of the mixed-ownership reform, introduced Baidu as a strategic investor when it started the mixed-ownership reform in 2017, and carried out close cooperation around the three major markets of "family customers, government and enterprise customers, and individual customers".
In the past five years, the two parties have jointly carried out a number of projects, including smart customer service, smart home, smart city, knowledge graph, video cloud platform, blockchain, digital human collection, etc., with remarkable results.
The two parties jointly created smart hardware such as the China Unicom version of the Xiaodu speaker, which is deeply loved by users.
The smart customer service project jointly created by China Unicom and Baidu Smart Cloud was launched in 31 provinces, improving the intelligent level of customer service and realizing cost reduction and efficiency increase.
Based on cloud-intelligence integration technology, Baidu goes deep into the industry, providing enterprises with end-to-end technical services of "chip-framework-large-scale model-industry application", outputting intelligent computing power to reduce the cost of enterprise digital construction, and depositing algorithms on platforms such as Kaiwu Models and industry knowledge help companies quickly build their own AI capabilities.
After the signing, the two parties will build on the achievements of the previous cooperation, go deep into the field of digital economy, and jointly promote the construction of a strong network country, a digital China, and a smart society.
