Flydubai is preparing for a busy weekend in conjunction with the World Cup matches

Flydubai said it is preparing for a busy weekend when more than 25,000 fans are expected to travel on flydubai flights to watch the quarter-final matches in Doha.

In a press release, the airline added that it will add more capacity to meet the demand for travel during the semi-final matches and the final match of the tournament, which will be held on December 13, 14, 17 and 18, respectively. 

The company stated that it enabled more than 100,000 football fans to travel easily to participate in the largest football tournament hosted by Qatar.

The company has operated 900 flights between Al Maktoum Airport and Doha International Airport since November 21, and most of these flights were operating at full capacity during peak travel periods during the day.

Matchday flights will run until December 19, 2022.

She added that: As part of its partnership with Qatar Airways to facilitate the flow of football fans from the region to Doha for the duration of the World Cup, flydubai operated up to 30 daily shuttle flights on match day, providing passengers with a smooth and enjoyable travel experience.
