Cargo Workers' Union announced that it had decided to suspend the general strike with the approval of more than half of its members as a result of the general vote to decide whether or not to withdraw the strike.

Yesterday, the cargo union decided to hold a general vote of union members in order to minimize the damage caused by the protracted strike and to urge a change in the attitude of the government, which is consistent with hard-line oppression.

The Busan Regional Headquarters of the Cargo Solidarity decided to return to work this morning without voting, saying that asking the union members whether or not to continue the strike is an evasion of responsibility by the leadership.

Even if the strike is withdrawn, the cargo union has a policy of continuing to demand 'legislation of a three-year extension of the safe fare system' and 'expand of safe fare system items' against the government and the ruling party.

Previously, the government issued additional orders for the steel and petrochemical industries nine days after the start of work order for those who refused to transport goods in the cement sector, and exerted strong pressure on the cargo union.

In the midst of this, the Democratic Party alone handled the three-year extension of the safe fare system at the subcommittee of the National Land Commission this morning.

In the meantime, the party and the government have maintained the position that they will discuss the extension of the safe fare system only when the cargo union returns to work, emphasizing the principle of 'return first, talk later'.

In the end, it seems that many of them have already returned to the field due to government pressure, and the strike power has declined, and they have chosen an exit strategy through union member voting.
