Musabih said at the last meeting of the Council in 2022: «(Dubai Customs) recorded a good performance during the current year, as the percentage of customers’ happiness about our smart systems and programs reached 98%, and 19 million transactions were completed in the first nine months of this year, compared to 17. 6 million transactions for the same period last year, a growth of 8%, while the number of customs declarations increased to 16.6 million customs declarations, compared to 15.6 million.

He continued, "We seek to consolidate Dubai's leading position in global trade, by reaching Dubai's trade towards the target of two trillion dirhams, according to the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai."

In turn, Bader Al Kharousi, Senior Director of Information Technology Solutions at Dubai Customs, reviewed the smart workspace platform and its development, which aims to achieve added value for customers, by providing the highest levels of fluidity in customs services, and transforming services into a smart experience for customers.

For his part, a member of the Dubai Navigation Group, Madhu Madathel, gave a presentation on the challenges of supply chains and future horizons, stressing that there are important shifts in trade, foremost of which is the growth of e-commerce.
