China News Service, December 3rd. According to the news from the WeChat public account of "Shanghai Market Supervision" on the 3rd, Unilever Trading (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. recently announced an expanded recall plan. From December 3, 2022 to June 2, 2023 On January 1, 2021, "THE LAUNDRESS" laundry detergent, fabric softener, and household cleaning products were recalled, involving 4,123,591 bottles.

This recall is based on the latest investigation results of THE LAUDRESS in the United States. It is an expanded recall based on the product recall of THE LAUDRESS implemented on November 24, 2022. The total number of recalls in the two recalls is 5,930,000 bottles.

The reason for the recall is that the product may contain bacteria including Burkholderia cepacia complex, Klebsiella aerogenes and several different species of Pseudomonas.

In extreme cases, bacteria can enter the body through inhalation through the nose and mouth, splash into the eyes or through broken skin.

People who are immunocompromised, have conditions requiring external medical devices, and underlying lung disease may be at risk of serious infection if exposed to these bacteria and may require medical attention.

People with healthy immune systems are usually not affected by these bacteria.

Unilever Trading (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. will release the recall plan on platforms such as THE LAUNDRESS official Weibo, Xiaohongshu and online official flagship stores from now on.
