“The latest talks are near and even slightly below $62, which I think is likely closer to the final figure that the EU will accept,” he said. 

Earlier, Reuters, citing diplomats, reported that the EU countries could not agree on the level of the price limit for oil from Russia.

Prior to this, Bloomberg wrote that the EU countries are discussing the possibility of setting a price ceiling for Russian oil at $62 per barrel.

Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak said that Russia has a tough position on the oil price limit - it is unacceptable, regardless of the level.
