The retail price of regular gasoline was 167.6 yen per liter on the national average as of November 28, unchanged from last week.

This was announced by the Petroleum Information Center, which is commissioned by the government to investigate gasoline prices.

Crude oil prices have been on a downward trend against the backdrop of concerns about a global economic slowdown. As a result of adjustments, sales remained flat.

Starting December 1st, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry will provide a subsidy of 19.5 yen per liter for wholesale gas stations.

Regarding the outlook for the future, the Japan Petroleum Information Center said, ``We expect a slight rise in prices next week due to adjustments in subsidies. We will be watching how it affects oil prices."
