Hotels in the country launched special offers on the occasion of the 51st Union Day, including discounts of up to 35% on accommodation, 30% on restaurant prices, as well as free stays for children and free visits to cities and entertainment destinations in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
Hotel officials told Emirates Today that they expect hotel occupancy rates to reach 100% during the Union Day holiday, noting that the local market is the main market for guests, along with Gulf markets and some foreign markets.
Discounts
In detail, Osama Shrouf, Vice President of Marketing and Sales at Jannah Hotels and Resorts, said that the group launched an offer on the occasion of the 51st Union Day of the UAE, which includes discounts ranging between 15 and 20% on the prices of accommodation and meals in the group’s hotels in Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Ras Al Khaimah, as well as special activities for children. With the celebrations of the Union Day, indicating that the show will be from the first to the fourth of next December.
He added that the reservations show that the group achieved high occupancy rates in its hotels in all Emirates, during the Union Day period, which reached 90%, explaining that the largest reservations were concentrated in Ras Al Khaimah from citizens and residents alike, while reservations in Dubai focused on guests from different nationalities. While occupancy in Abu Dhabi focused on residents and citizens, especially those coming from other emirates.
Government sector
For his part, Radi Ali Baz, Director of Sales Department at the Sofitel Corniche Hotel, said that the hotel put forward an offer for accommodation on the occasion of the State’s Union Day, which includes a discount for the government sector and individuals at rates ranging from 15 to 20% on hotel room prices, and 25% on food prices. While accommodation will be free for children under the age of six.
Baz added that the offer is valid for reservations from the beginning of December until the 25th of the same month, expecting that the occupancy rate during the Union Day will reach 90%.
He pointed out that the local market will be the main market for the hotel during the Union Day holiday.

In turn, Peter Van Bogen, General Manager of the DoubleTree by Hilton Resort & Spa, Marjan Island, said that the tourism sector in the country is witnessing a great boom, especially with the increase in business events and sports tournaments, expecting that the occupancy rate during the Union Day will reach 100% in the hotel. Most of them are citizens and residents.
Free visits
In the same context, Ahmed Haseeb, CEO of Jiwan Hotel Management Company, said that the company launched an offer on the occasion of the Union Day that includes free visits to cities and entertainment destinations in Dubai and Abu Dhabi when staying in the company's hotels.
He added that the offer is valid until next December 30, indicating that the offers for Abu Dhabi come for the first time in two years after the emirate lifted all restrictions and precautionary measures to combat "Corona".
He stressed that reservations indicate an increase in occupancy rates during the Union Day by more than 90%, pointing out that most of the guests are from the local market and the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, especially Saudi Arabia, in addition to the Russian market.

In addition, an official spokesman for the Rosewood Abu Dhabi Hotel, who preferred not to be named, said that the hotel launched a special offer on the occasion of Union Day, which includes a 35% discount on accommodation prices in one of the suites, with free accommodation for children under 12 years old.

For his part, Moataz Al-Desouki, Director of Sales and Marketing at the Sheraton Dubai Creek Hotel and Towers, said that the hotel offered an offer that includes a 50% discount on the stay of children under the age of 12, in addition to 30% discounts in all resort restaurants with the possibility of benefiting From the free room upgrade service.
