The parliamentarian also recalled that now European underground gas storage facilities are filled, including thanks to Russian supplies.

The next heating season will be extremely difficult, everyone understands this.

And the European Commissioner also understands perfectly well that Europe will not be able to survive the next winter due to LNG,” Ananskikh concluded.

Earlier, the EU announced that it had completely replaced Russian gas with supplies from other sources.

On November 9, the German Federal Network Agency reported that the country's underground gas storage facilities are currently 99.54% full.

Russian Ambassador to Germany Sergei Nechaev noted that Berlin was the main beneficiary of cheap Russian gas supplies under long-term contracts.
