In order to accelerate electrification, Mazda has announced plans to invest approximately 1.5 trillion yen by 2030, including collaboration with business partners, such as the development and production of EVs.

Mazda held a press conference in Hiroshima on the 22nd and announced its basic management policy for 2030, eight years from now.



According to this, by 2030, the ratio of new electric vehicle sales in the world will increase from the previously expected 25% to a maximum of 40% due to the introduction of dedicated EV vehicles.



In addition, we plan to invest approximately 1.5 trillion yen, including collaboration with business partners, in order to accelerate the electrification of EV development and production by 2030.



In order to respond to electrification, in addition to agreeing to procure new batteries with the Chinese battery manufacturer "Envision AESC", we will also jointly share advanced technology with "ROHM", a semiconductor manufacturer headquartered in Kyoto City. He also revealed that he has established a joint venture with local parts manufacturers for development and production related to electrification.
