In Kitakami City, Iwate Prefecture, there is a shortage of accommodation facilities due to the construction of a factory by a major manufacturer, and on the 22nd, a company in Tokyo opened a hotel using a trailer.

The company wants it to be used as temporary housing for disasters even after the demand for construction is over.

The “Trailer Hotel” opened near the industrial park in Kitakami City, and on the 22nd, a ceremony was held by officials to celebrate the opening.

In this industrial park, Kioxia, a major semiconductor company, is building a second factory, and there are many people involved in the construction, so there is a shortage of accommodation facilities in Kitakami city.

"Trailer Hotel" was opened by a hotel management company in Tokyo in anticipation of such demand.

There are 29 rooms in total, with a trailer with wheels on it and a refrigerator and a bath, as well as a washing machine.

The largest room is about 16 square meters, and the price starts from 6000 yen per night for a single.

Accommodation will accept reservations from the 22nd and will accept guests from the 1st of next month.

The company wants to consider collaborating with the city so that it can be used as temporary housing for disasters even after the demand for construction work is over.

President Tetsuhito Hisaki said, "Kitakami has a thriving high-tech industry, and I think it will become even more vibrant in the future. We want to provide a cheap and comfortable space to meet the demands of business." .
