Putin: the level of Russia's self-sufficiency in meat exceeded the indicators of the doctrine and amounted to 100.8%

The level of self-sufficiency in meat products, in accordance with the doctrine of food security, should be at least 85%, Putin said.

“And this year we have already achieved 100.8%.

And this, of course, is an indicative, good result, with which I congratulate everyone who works in this area, ”RIA Novosti quotes the president.

At the same time, the level of self-sufficiency in milk and dairy products amounted to 84.3%, although the task was slightly higher - under 90%, he noted.

“But if we talk about the fact that we have very good and, I would say, without any exaggeration, allied relations with Belarus in all areas, then this part is largely covered by supplies from Belarus,” he said.

As the head of state noted, all measures aimed at supporting the country's agro-industrial complex worked.
