It is a cable-stayed bridge with a single-pillar tower and double-cable plane full-floating system with a main span of 700 meters. It consists of two main towers Z3 and Z4. Composed of concrete single-pillar towers, the shape and design are unique.

The total height of the two main towers is 254.7 meters, and the navigable height is 64 meters. After completion, it can meet the traffic of 50,000-ton ships.

Using the overall hoisting process of the steel bar segment, through the overall prefabrication of the steel bar under the tower, using the "one hook hoisting" process of a large boom crane, the segmental steel bar is hoisted to the main tower for docking and the installation of the main tower steel bar is shortened from 4 days to 1 At the same time, a large number of high-altitude operations are transferred to ground construction, reducing the number of high-altitude workers by more than 60%, reducing safety risks.

  With the support of BIM technology and technological innovation, the builders used technical means such as 3D construction simulation, intelligent construction, and intelligent construction site informatization to gradually realize the digitization, informatization, and visualization of project management, and shortened the main tower from 8 days to 5 days. The "Huangmaohai speed" of a section is poured every day.

  As another sea-crossing project in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, the Huangmaohai Passage Project is currently progressing smoothly, and more than half of the tower columns of the key control projects Huangmaohai Bridge and Gaolangang Bridge are under construction.

The project is expected to be completed and opened to traffic in 2024. After completion, it will form a group of cross-sea and cross-river passages in the Greater Bay Area together with the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Bridge, the Nansha Bridge, and the Humen Bridge, helping the Greater Bay Area to become a world-class transportation hub as soon as possible.
