The head of the WTO announced the risk of recession in some "key countries"

This was stated on the sidelines of the G20 summit by the Director General of the World Trade Organization (WTO) Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala.

“It may not happen everywhere, but several key countries are facing the risk of sliding into recession,” TASS quoted her as saying.

Earlier, the European Commission predicted that at the end of the year most EU member states will enter into recession.

The European Commission also downgraded its eurozone growth forecast for next year to 0.3%.

In July, the forecast was 1.4%.
