Sales of used electric cars soar in Britain

Electric car sales in Britain rose to a new record.

 The British "PA Media" agency quoted the Association of Car Manufacturers and Dealers as saying that about 16,775 electric cars were sold between July and September.

This represents an increase of 44.1 percent compared to the same period last year.

Sales of used hybrid cars increased by 2.5 percent year-on-year.

The market share of all used electric cars increased from 3.3 percent to 0.4 percent.

 The total number of used cars purchased during the period between July and September last year reached 1.8 million, which is the first time that total quarterly sales have fallen below two million since 2015.
