“The current account surplus of the balance of payments of the Russian Federation in January-October 2022 continued to strengthen and amounted to $215.4 billion, which is more than twice as high as the corresponding period in 2021,” the statement says.

It is noted that the increase in the positive balance of goods and services played a decisive role in the dynamics as a result of an increase in the value of exports of goods while reducing the cost of goods imports compared to the previous year.

The Central Bank also reported that Russia's international reserves as of November 4 amounted to $541.6 billion.
