As of the 30th of this month, Purmil, a dairy company that has been in conflict by announcing the end of its business and notifying its employees of layoffs, has withdrawn its business closure plan.

The labor and management of Purmil, who have been negotiating four times, agreed to maintain the business on condition of a 30% restructuring, and Purmil announced today (10th) an appeal to the public containing this content.

In an appeal, Purmil said, "We will withdraw the announcement of closure of the existing business and normalize the company's business based on efficiency by slimming the structure."

He then apologized, saying, "I will go back to my initial idea of starting a business 45 years ago and try again."

Regarding the restructuring, it is said that Purmil will receive an application for voluntary retirement once and will implement recommended resignation if the number of reductions falls below 30%.

Conflicts between labor and management were settled once the management decided to maintain the business, but there are many tasks that need to be resolved in order to normalize the business.

The task remains to build trust again with the farms and agencies that have already notified us of the termination of the contract.

As the management said in the appeal, Purmil has accumulated a deficit of more than 30 billion won over the past four years, and is expected to lose more than 18 billion won even in Ulleungdo.

Therefore, it is predicted that Purmil may resume the sale of the company depending on the situation after maintaining the business.
