The director of Gulfood Manufacturing 2022, Mark Knepper, said that the last session of the exhibition, which concluded at the Dubai World Trade Center yesterday, witnessed the expansion of exhibiting companies in offering green, environmentally friendly products for food and beverage packaging and processing products.

Neeber added to "Emirates Today", on the sidelines of the exhibition, that a large number of companies offered products that meet sustainability standards in innovative and advanced forms, in line with the local and global demand for those products, which increased during and after the "Corona" pandemic period.

He pointed out that automation and the use of artificial intelligence and "robots" are also among the prominent trends witnessed by the exhibition, through the introduction of food and beverage manufacturing devices working with these technologies.

Neper stated that the 2022 session of Gulfood Manufacturing recorded participation and rates of visitors, which reached pre-pandemic levels, which confirms the recovery of the food manufacturing and processing business sector, and the distinguished position occupied by Dubai in attracting companies from all over the world.

He indicated that this year's edition of the exhibition achieved a 25% higher participation in terms of exhibitors participating for the first time.

For his part, Senior Manager of Warehouse Sales at RW Codwin Ongputa said that Gulfood Manufacturing 2022 witnessed remarkable competition between companies to offer products that meet green and environmentally friendly standards.

He pointed to the gradual increase in demand for food packaging and packaging products after the pandemic, which has increased awareness rates in general among consumers, whether about healthy products or the use of environmentally friendly materials.

In turn, the founder and CEO of Al Bayader International, Nidal Haddad, stressed that “green products that comply with sustainability standards are witnessing a growing demand in the field of food and beverage packaging, which has stimulated the launch of different products of this quality, to meet the demand rates.” in the markets".
