China News Service, Meizhou, November 10 (Reporter Wang Jian) China Railway Sixth Bureau announced on the 10th that the Jingzhi tunnel of the Meilong high-speed railway project undertaken by the bureau has been successfully completed, marking all tunnels in the third section of the Meilong high-speed railway. The connection has opened up the last choke point for the construction of the girder project.

The Meilong high-speed railway is about 93.98 kilometers long. The line leads from Meizhou West Station of Meishan High-speed Railway, passes through Xingning Station and Wuhua Station, and finally ends at Ganshen High-speed Railway Longchuan West Station in Heyuan.

The project is interconnected with the existing Meishan high-speed railway, and the west is connected with the Jiangxi-Shenzhen high-speed railway. It is an integral part of the Guanghe-Mei Channel and the high-speed passenger channel connecting the eastern Guangdong region to central and northern China. It is also an old revolutionary area in eastern Guangdong connecting the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay. important traffic artery in the area.

At the same time, it is also the first high-speed railway with a speed of 350 kilometers per hour fully invested and constructed by Guangdong Province.

According to reports, up to now, 45 of the 52 tunnels on the Meilong high-speed rail line have passed through, accounting for 87.68% of the tunnel project.

90.02% of roadbed works and 74.48% of bridge works were completed.

At present, the entire line is seizing time to speed up the construction of the subgrade in front of the station, the lower part of the bridge, the frame beam, the remaining tunnels and ancillary works.

The relevant person in charge of the Meilong Project Department of the China Railway Sixth Bureau said that the diameter of the paper tunnel, which is 2.46 kilometers long, is the most difficult tunnel on the whole line. If the tunnel is shallow, it may cause problems such as landslide, roof fall, water and mud inrush, etc., and the safety risk is high. It is the only Class I risk tunnel on the entire line.

With the joint efforts of all the construction personnel, it took 24 months to complete the smooth passage of the paper tunnel in a safe and orderly manner with high quality and quantity, laying a solid foundation for the smooth passage of the beams in the whole bidding section.

It is understood that after the completion of the Meilong high-speed railway, the travel time from Meizhou to Guangzhou will be shortened from the original 6 hours to 1.5 hours, which will greatly improve the transportation conditions between Meizhou and cities in the Greater Bay Area.
