dnata's freight forwarding, ground handling, catering, retail and travel services businesses witnessed a significant increase in operations, resulting in strong revenue growth in the first six months of the 2022-2023 financial year.

In the first half of the current fiscal year, dnata was able to enhance its presence through new long-term concession contracts to provide services in Zanzibar (dnata Airport Operations) and Ras Al Khaimah (Alpha Catering).
The Airport Operations division also entered the German market with the acquisition of Wisirchen Handling Services, the exclusive operator of the Cologne Bonn Cargo Centre.
It also acquired the remaining 30% stake to take full ownership of the ground handling business in Brazil.
dnata has committed $100 million to implement green technologies and initiatives across its business, and has invested $17 million in its operations in Erbil, Iraq.

dnata's revenues, including income from other operations, amounted to 7.3 billion dirhams ($2.0 billion), doubling from the revenues for the same period in the previous year, which was 3.7 billion dirhams ($1.0 billion).
dnata's total profits amounted to 236 million dirhams ($64 million), compared to 85 million dirhams ($23 million).
"Airport Operations"
dnata Airport Operations maintained its position as the largest contributor to dnata's revenues, reaching 3.5 billion dirhams ($944 million), an increase of 37% over the revenues of the first six months of the previous fiscal year.
The total number of aircraft that dnata provided handling services to in all its work sites increased by 56 percent to 437,581 aircraft, while the shipments handled recorded 1.4 million tons.
"Flight Catering"
In turn, the contribution of dnata's catering and retail operations to total revenue amounted to 2.4 billion dirhams (651 million dollars), a growth of 212%, with strong increases in production in Australia, the United Kingdom and the United States to meet customer demand.
The number of meals served during the first six months rose sharply by 204% to 50.5 million meals, compared to 16.6 million meals last year.
Travel Section
The contribution of the “travel division” of “dnata” to revenues amounted to 1.2 billion dirhams (323 million dollars), compared to 147 million dirhams ($ 40 million), a sharp increase of 708% over the same period of the previous year, as a result of the strong recovery in demand for Travel and reservations in the Middle East and the United Kingdom.
The department recorded a total of basic transactions worth 4.7 billion dirhams ($1.3 billion), compared to 726 million dirhams ($198 million) for the same period last year.
