Abu Dhabi Investments and Noon collaborate to launch the largest distribution center in the country

Noon.com, the digital e-commerce platform in the Middle East, announced its intention to build the largest distribution and delivery center in the UAE in Abu Dhabi, as part of its strong investments in the fast-growing e-commerce sector in the emirate.

This huge facility, which will extend over an area of ​​252,000 square metres, is the result of cooperation between the Abu Dhabi Investment Office and Noon, as it will create thousands of jobs and support the next phase of the emirate's digital economic growth.

The new Noon Distribution Center, located in Kizad, will be designed and built using the "development on demand" solution provided by Khalifa Economic Zones Abu Dhabi - Kizad Group. Providing new opportunities for small businesses to sell their products online through the Noon platform.

The center will develop the e-commerce infrastructure in the region by introducing new automation technologies.

In return, the Abu Dhabi Investment Office will give Noon many incentives, including financial, to develop its position, while Abu Dhabi's corporate support system and the advanced infrastructure of Kizad Group will provide a solid foundation to enable the rapid growth of Noon's operations in order processing and distribution in the region.

The Noon Center, the largest of its kind in the UAE, with an area equivalent to 35 football fields, will allow rapid delivery of products across the country, and will serve as a major hub to serve the smaller order processing and delivery centers in Noon.

The facility will feature state-of-the-art warehousing automation, seamless material movement, and advanced sorting capabilities.

To operate this huge facility, Noon will recruit more than 6,000 new employees, of various skill levels from entry-level to executive positions, thus creating new opportunities for talents of all levels, backgrounds and skills in the emirate.

This facility will also contribute to the promotion of e-commerce as an emerging sub-sector within the rapidly growing ICT landscape in the emirate.

It will enable entrepreneurs, start-ups, and small and medium-sized ones to benefit from the Noon platform, its advanced technologies, and extensive delivery networks;

Noon will operate in accordance with the e-commerce policy launched by Abu Dhabi in August 2021, to encourage and enhance investment opportunities in the emirate.

Scheduled for completion in 2024, the facility will be delivered as a sustainable building compliant with a two-pearl sustainability rating, which includes benefits for reducing water and energy consumption, lowering the level of waste, and using local materials, leading to reduced transportation emissions and a boosting economy. the local.
