Forbes Middle East revealed the list of "global meets local", for the 10th year in a row, showcasing the most powerful CEOs who lead the regional offices of 50 companies among the largest 2000 public companies around the world in the list (Global 2000).

The magazine reviewed the most powerful 51 regional CEOs of major international companies for the year 2022, including the regional director and senior vice president of the (Visa) Group in the Gulf Cooperation Council region, Saeeda Jaafar, while it was found that 49 of these regional CEOs (98%) reside in UAE.

This year's list includes 51 CEOs belonging to 27 nationalities, while Britain and France top the list with five officials each, followed by Germany and Turkey with four each.

The technology sector also dominates this year's list, with 13 companies, followed by the sectors: banks, food and beverages, pharmaceuticals, and cars, with four companies for each sector.

Senior Vice President of General Electric and President and CEO of General Electric International, Nabil Habayeb, topped the list for the third year in a row, while Omar El-Shennawy of Procter & Gamble (P&G) retained his classification in the list, to come in second place. , followed by Eugene Williamson of PepsiCo, who joined the list for the first time, in third place.
