[Explanation] On November 5, the sub-forum of the 5th Hongqiao International Economic Forum "Deepening South-South Cooperation in Industrial Parks and Special Economic Zones, and Accelerating the Realization of Inclusive and Sustainable Industrialization" was held in Shanghai.

Many experts and scholars shared the practices and practices in related fields around the two themes of South-South cooperation and industrial parks (special economic zones), and offered suggestions for promoting the realization of inclusive and sustainable industrialization in developing countries and the implementation of the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development .

  [Explanation] Xin Guobin, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China, said in a video speech that industrial parks are an important carrier of high-quality economic development and an important support for international economic and trade cooperation.

China will promote south-south cooperation in industrial parks through policy coordination, project cooperation, talent exchanges and other means, so as to jointly improve the level of industrialization.

  [Explanation] Justin Yifu Lin, Dean of the Institute of New Structural Economics of Peking University and Professor of the School of South-South Cooperation and Development, said that developing countries should use their comparative advantages to promote industrialization.

The successful cases of China and some East Asian countries prove that there are many opportunities for the countries in the South to learn from and support each other.

(Developing countries) can put the country's limited resources in a region like an industrial park or a (special economic) special zone to provide a good level of infrastructure, and then use one-stop services to make it a good business environment , then under this situation, the industry with comparative advantage can soon be turned into an industry with competitive advantage.

  [Explanation] Zou Ciyong, Executive Director of the Technical Cooperation and Sustainable Industrial Development Directorate of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization believes that inclusive and sustainable industrialization, innovative practices and resilient infrastructure are critical to accelerating economic development and eradicating poverty ; Industrial parks and South-South cooperation are one of the key tools to support sustainable industrial development.

  [Explanation] On the same day, the United Nations Industrial Development Organization released the Global Industrial Park Platform to Promote Inclusive and Sustainable Industrialization.

The park guidance tool, Guidelines for Sustainable Design, Development and Management of Integrated Agri-Food Parks, was pre-released.

The China Center for International Economic and Technological Exchanges released a video showing the achievements of "South-South Cooperation to Promote Technical Cooperation".
