The All Saints' Day holidays are coming to an end and Jean-Pierre Nadir, founder of a travel agency, draws up the tourist report of the period in "France moves".

Attendance has increased between "10 and 15%" compared to last year, says the businessman who also notes that Brittany has done the most well.

After a good vintage in 2021, All Saints' Day is back in 2022. The tourism figures are again very good over this period, assures Jean-Pierre Nadir.

on Monday, the day after the end of the All Saints holidays, the founder of the travel agency Fairmoove explains that "most operators are up compared to last year's figures" .

Stressing that this period is traditionally family, with "55% of starters who rather go to family and friends", Jean-Pierre Nadir suggests an increase "from 10 to 15%" in attendance.

The last minute boom

"A very good vintage", despite the current context marked by inflation and fuel shortages.

"There were strongly increasing bookings, before the strikes started (in fuel). The strikes completely stopped bookings, but they did not generate many cancellations", he remarks on the microphone of 'Elisabeth Assayag.

And to point out a significant number of last minute: "We saw that we could have gasoline and that we could circulate", explains the businessman.

This last-minute movement “quite strong made it possible to exceed the benchmark figures for 2019”, the pre-Covid year, specifies Jean-Pierre Nadir.

The tourist development of the Côtes d'Armor

Among the operators concerned, "chains like Utopia are on results rather around +20%, and most of the campsites that I questioned in Brittany for example were all above their historical figures", indicates the founder of Fairmoove.

Brittany was also the most popular destination during All Saints' Day, adds the businessman.

The region "is a bit like the number 1 destination, for climate reasons with an extremely favorable sunshine-price ratio", he recalls, also noting that Normandy has benefited from the same phenomenon.

"Brittany has a lot more accommodation, which is why they are ahead," says Jean-Pierre Nadir.

Finally, in Brittany, the department that is developing the most is the Côtes d'Armor.

"It was a bit of the poor relation of tourism in the region, and for two years, the department has made great efforts to catch up", greets Jean-Pierre Nadir.
