China News Service, Beijing, November 2 (Xu Jing) The Beijing Cultural Market Comprehensive Law Enforcement Corps reported that recently, the Corps has continued to conduct in-depth digging and detailed investigations against the illegal activities of lawbreakers through WeChat publicity, solicitation and organization of tourism team activities. Severely cracked down, worked with relevant departments to destroy many tourist and shopping places, and investigated and dealt with many cases of illegally organizing tourism outside Beijing through WeChat.

On September 28, 2022, when law enforcement officers inspected the north of Liuli Bridge on the West Third Ring Road, they decisively stopped and patiently persuaded to disperse a tour group going to Yesanpo, Hebei, to eliminate the risk of epidemic transmission in time.

It was later verified that the team was recruited by Zhu Moumou through WeChat. He did not have a travel agency business license and had organized team tours many times.

In response, the corps imposed an administrative penalty of confiscation of illegal income and a fine of 50,000 yuan for Zhu Moumou's illegal act of operating a travel agency business without a license.

On October 19, 2022, the corps team, together with public security, traffic and other departments, immediately launched an investigation into a tourist group out of Beijing that was stranded at a checkpoint in Beijing because of the health treasure pop-up window.

After verification, the tourists in this group are all elderly people over 60 years old. They go to the "Red Flag Canal" in Jiaozuo, Henan for a four-day and three-night tour with zero group fee. I don't know anything about contracts, etc.

In order to prevent the risk of the spread of the epidemic, the group of tourists will be picked up by their families or communities to implement "point-to-point" closed-loop management.

After verification, the tour group involved was solicited by Liu, Hu, Tan and others through WeChat.

The behavior of the above-mentioned persons violated the provisions of Article 28 of the Tourism Law of the People's Republic of China. Liu has been imposed an administrative penalty of 10,000 yuan, and the rest of the persons involved are under investigation.

On October 30, 2022, when law enforcement officers conducted a special inspection of the "inter-provincial team tour" at Daxing International Airport, they found a tour group of 27 people traveling to Kunming, Dali, Tengchong and other places in Yunnan Province. On October 30th, the Kunda Teng fly for 6 days."

On November 1st, the corps team filed an investigation into the illegal act of a company in Beijing that organized the group to operate the travel agency business without a license. The traffic law enforcement department seized the illegal vehicles. Investigate thoroughly and implement joint disciplinary action.

At the same time, in order to strengthen the control, the team has sent a letter to the Yunnan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism to quickly investigate the local agency and crack down on illegally organizing trips to Beijing.

According to the report, at present, there are many “routines” for participating in groups on WeChat, and illegal organizers use low prices or even zero group fees as “bait” to illegally organize tourism activities by taking advantage of WeChat’s wide spread and strong concealment.

In fact, this type of WeChat tour group is a "high-risk group". First, the organizer has no qualifications, no contract, and no insurance, and there is no safety guarantee for group groups through WeChat. Second, the organizers often rent "black cars" in order to save expenses. ”, there is a greater potential safety hazard; third, the organizer’s awareness of epidemic prevention and control is weak, and there is a greater risk of epidemic transmission.

In this regard, the Beijing Cultural Market Comprehensive Law Enforcement Corps reminds the general public and elderly friends:

First, we must earnestly recognize the trap of low-cost tourism.

Some criminals use "low-cost tours" and "free tours" as gimmicks, and induce the elderly to buy goods by means of coercion, inducement, and bundled sales.

The second is to be highly vigilant against the trap of travel prepaid cards.

Some companies use the bait to obtain high rebates or enjoy free travel and other benefits, and use the form of selling travel prepaid cards to defraud the elderly to recharge money.

The third is to carefully identify the traps of wealth management products.

Some criminals use free travel, gifts, and high rebates as bait to lure the elderly into investing in wealth management products or collecting art.

In this regard, the general public and elderly friends should keep their eyes open, avoid entering the "pit", and protect their own rights and interests.
