"The sixth unit of the Kozloduy NPP was shut down... This is due to a technical problem with the cooling system of the generator, the non-nuclear part of the unit," the report says.

Currently, work is underway to eliminate the problem and connect the unit to the national power system.

The technical government of Bulgaria earlier decided to withdraw Russian companies that supply automotive fuel from sanctions until the end of 2024 against the backdrop of a difficult fuel situation in the country.

Energy Minister of Bulgaria Rosen Hristov told the BNT television channel that the country's authorities are negotiating with Gazprom to resume gas supplies.

According to the head of the Ministry of Economy of Bulgaria, Nikola Stoyanov, the country is provided with gas for the year ahead.
