At present, JR companies are setting prices that are 200 yen higher during the "busy season" and 200 yen lower during the "low season" than usual for limited express fares for reserved seats on Shinkansen and other trains.



According to the announcement, four companies, JR Tokai, West Japan, Shikoku, and Kyushu, have decided to raise prices, treating particularly busy days such as long holidays, Obon, and New Year's holidays as "peak seasons".



The price will be raised by 400 yen from the usual period, and will be introduced from April next year.
